Ancillary Task- Initial Digipak Plan
This was our initial digipak and we wasnt satisfyed with it. We decided that it wasnt detailed enough eventhough we liked the pictures we used. We also changed the colour scheme to fit the font in the actual music video and also with the magazine advert. This way all of our media looks more proffessional as its all the same theme. We would also like to put alot more information on the digipak.

Diary of a Day Shooting 4
The day four of filming was not the most productive of days as we did not organise to film on that day until the night before. This resulted in the group being really unorganised and we left it to the day to decide what and where we were going to film. In hindsight we would definitely have planned out exactly what we were going to film before, so that we didn’t waste any time.
When we got together, we decided to go to a skate park to film as this would fit in with the genre of Hip-Hop and clothing that we have shown throughout the video. The skate park is under refurbishment which meant that the park was empty and no one would interrupt our filming. There was also a graffiti wall inside the skate park which we could film in front of and this also fits in with our chosen genre. We decided that we had enough lip singing and then we just needed clips to fit in the video around the lip singing parts. Therefore we decided to film for a large period of the day of us acting like ourselves throughout the day.
Diary of a Day Shooting 3
From the previous two days of recording we had got quite a lot of footage to put into the gaps of the music video. However, we felt that we didn't have enough to change up the clips shown. Unlike the first day where I was unable to attend the day to record, this time I was there straight away ready to record the next clips. Before we began to record again we re-watched what the music video looked like from the second day of recording and editing, just to know what we had to film and to know where we stood in terms of making the video as good as it can be. After watching all of the footage we had, we realised that the majority of it was of the main character (Pearce) rapping into the camera, also of himself and Jack being in a field. To have a change of this we decided that we should go for something that we believed no other group would have; a train track. As we were walking to the train track we had to go over the health and safety issues with the manager of the site before he gave us permission to record there. The location we decided to use had no running trains that day so we the manager gave us confirmation that we could spend however long of time we wished to use there. With all the health and safety issues covered we decided to start thinking about what we could film first, when Jack recommended that we should take a lot of photos for our digi-pack that we need to create.
Once all of the photos had been taken we began recording, starting with the chorus of the song as that was one essential bit in need of completing that day because we were yet to have any ideas for what we could record. As a group we decided to just record plenty of different shots, with lots of different angles and lenses just so we had a variety of choice when choosing we to edit into the music video. From the first two days of recording we had decided to do exactly this and it had seemed to work perfectly for us so we continued to do the same. After recording for approximately two and a half hours we unfortunately lost all motivation to continue recording as we spent a long while having to re-shoot clips due to Pearce mis-timing the lip singing and a bit of confusion between Pearce, Jack and myself on what we were actually doing. Therefore, we decided to head off back to James' shed and have a look at what footage we had of the days recording (which turned out to be more than once expected) so we could try input the best footage into the perfect timing of the song.
In conclusion to the third day of recording I believe that we all took the matter of handling the health and safety issues with the manager extremely well, as at any point he could have turned around and declined our question of asking to use the location for recording. Also we made sure that we were to keep changing costumes so that we had a good variety of change, otherwise viewers of our music video could get bored with seeing the same things.
Diary of a day shooting 2
The second day shooting was very successful, we managed to get lots of clips and got relevant footage as we learnt from our first day and improved on our camera work. As the weather was bad we were unable to shoot outside so we decided to do the shots we planned that were situated inside. Pearce and I were the only ones able to shoot on the second day because Jack and Ryan had work but this was no problem as we didn't need to use them for the footage we got. We got the first pieces of footage from in My bedroom which showed an average life of a teenager which fits in perfectly with the mise-en-scene. During the shooting of Pearce in the bed, we used the dolly track horizontally across the bed to make a creative shot tracking from right to left.
We then done shots in the shed, close ups of his face and also a slow motion shot of Pearce kicking a rubbish bag which relates to the lyrics in the song we are using. Overall it was a successful day although we did not get a large amount of footage we got decent and relevant clips which worked out very well in editing.
