Ancillary Task - What is a digipak?

The most typical type of digipak is a book-style paper or card package, often with plastic trays inside the digipak for holding the CD's or DVD's securely inside. Digipak's often open up like a book; most commonly opening to the left and the right, leaving the centre for the disc. The main reason for using the digipak is so most artists are able to promote their album to the public by posting information about themselves or about the album itself.

The front cover of a digipak usually has a picture of the song album to let the public know what album they're looking at. Furthermore the digipak always has the Artists/Band's name. The back cover will usually consist of the albums songs, if it were an album. If it were just a Single then it would only have possibly 3 or 4 songs which would be remixes of the original song. The back cover would also have the production company that created and helped fund the music video. Furthermore, it will have a bar code on it that the shops can scan for purchasing.
