Brief/Synopsis/Pitch

The plot to our music video is a stereotypical Hip-Hip video which has no real plot and the song lyrics do not follow a real story to them as they are going along with the usual Hip-Hop story, which is a rise to fame from a rapper and how his life has changed. These videos are about young people having fun and enjoying life, which is something that we are going to get across. We will have our main character (Pearce Stewart) who will be acting as Mac Miller, singing some of the main lyrics of the song into the camera. This will have no story behind them; it will also come with a lot of changing costumes and backgrounds. We believe that this is key to a good Hip-Hop, as along with good editing, it creates pace in the video which goes with the beat of the music.
The other clips which are in the video will consist of a group of boys having a laugh in different locations. We are going to try and be as individual as possible, for example we will be having a sofa in a field with cows in the background. As we do not have the money to be able to have the glamorous lifestyle of the modern day videos, we are going to have a video with the group having lots of fun.

We are planning to make our video stand out as much as possible, by being as individual as we can with the location, costumes, camera shots and effects that we are going to use. For example, we have made a dolly run in which we are able to use a pan. This is a good shot to use for the start of our video, and it looks extremely effective. From research we have made into the music industry, we have found that individuality is key and this is something we are hopefully going to portray in our video.
